On May 5th, 2024 at approximately 823 am Candler County Sheriffs Office received a dispatch from Bulloch 911 for a domestic incident. The domestic incident was stated to be between the callers girlfriend and his grandson. at the location of 63502 rosemary church rd. Metter, Ga. At this time deputes were dispatch to the incident where deputies reported they had a subject fleeing into the woods. Further into the incident it was reported that the subject was armed with a knife and ems was needed for a female reported in her 30's for an injury to the cheek. Nearly an hour into the call more units was en route to the call and paged the Special Response Team (SRT) as well k9 Thunder. Deputies was able to speak to the subject via cell phone. As k9 Thunder made it on scene to the call the subject turned himself in peacefully and transported to Candler County Jail
